The current session of Parliament will be prorogued on Wednesday, 3 May 2017, bringing to an end nearly all parliamentary business. However, Public Bills (including Private Members' Bills) may be carried over to the next session. The Children and Social Work Bill currently awaits Royal Assent. Other Bills, related to family law, in progress at prorogation include the following: Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill Child Contact Centres (Accreditation) Bill Child Maintenance (Assessment of Parents' Income) Bill Civil Partnership Act 2004 (Amendment) Bill Cohabitation Rights Bill Divorce (Financial Provision) Bill Family Justice Bill Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Bill Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence (Ratification of Convention) Bill Registration of Marriage Bill. No date has yet been set for the state opening of the new Parliament. 20/4/17
