After years of campaigning by family law groups such as Resolution it appears the case of Owens & Owens has finally convinced the Government a change in law is needed.

It is being suggested that at the next session of parliament legislation will be proposed introducing no fault based divorce.

Although little consolation for Tini Owens, when the Supreme Court ruled in July of last year that she had to remain married to her husband, Hugh, it would appear her plight has spurred much needed changes and updating of divorce law.
