Bailii reports a recent case of an unvaccinated child, in the care of a Local Authority, where the parents were anti-vaccination. This raises the often emotional and heated debate around vaccinations.

Many parents do not hesitate to have their children vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), and Chickenpox amongst others.  Some vaccines can cause temporary side effects such as headache, fatigue or loss of appetite but the risk of a vaccine causing serious harm is small. With this in mind, many parents will decide that this is in the best interests of the child.  Some parents do not agree.
