On 3rd April 2020, the Government published their official guidance on obtaining a non-molestation order and protection from domestic abuse during the COVID-19 'lockdown'. This includes the steps to take and an information leaflet.
Critics have questioned whether this goes far enough. They have asked whether this is the Government being too reactive, suggesting they are accepting there will be an increase in incidents of domestic abuse and violence, rather than taking measures to prevent it.
